When it comes to staying motivated and avoiding burnout, start by making sure you choose a niche that you genuinely care about and won't get bored or frustrated with easily.

If you feel you have chosen incorrectly, consider pivoting and launching another channel, as changing the content if you have an existing audience usually fairs very poorly for MOST content creators (though you are free to try).

Consider having another outlet beyond YouTube or using a secondary platform where you can express yourself without alienating the existing audience.

Consider streaming to express yourself, or using a secondary short form video platform. If you really want to post something you're passionate about that you know most of your audience won't relate to, then consider posting that as members only content, for your truest fans to support you.

Timing is important because it helps the viewer decide what is a priority for them. Title helps a viewer understand the context and value of the video. The thumbnail is the first thing a viewer notices when it comes to attention, and also the only way they can judge a videos quality without clicking on it or watching the preview. Contrary to popular belief, you don't need to manipulate tags or metadata to get more views on YouTube. You would consistently focus on these fundamentals over time. To compete on the YouTube homepage, prioritize high quality thumbnails that gain attention and are simple to understand.

When it comes to getting more subscribers on YouTube as a small channel, a balance of acceptable quality videos and consistency is key. While its popular to say that quality matters more then quantity, historically the majority of successful large channels have consistent quality at high volume.

The channels that make fewer videos and get more views are the exception and not the rule. Subscribers aren't based on perfect editing but on a desire to support the creator and to see more content from them.

Personality and genuinely enjoying the creator and what they stand for, play a more important role in choosing to support that creator publicly, and subscribing to the channel, than whether it was a high quality or high effort video or not.
